- A powerful DOC 250 trap designed in New Zealand and made to last. This NAWAC class A trap humanely eradicates stoats and ferrets in rugged New Zealand conditions.
The Philproof® 250 series trap covers are manufactured in New Zealand and designed specifically for this range of traps. Developed in collaboration with DOC in the 1990s for mustelid trapping, this cover is designed to exclude non-target species, protect the trap, and ensure public safety.
Key Features:
- Facilitates easy rebaiting, removal of caught animals, and resetting, as the cover can be easily lifted off the base once you remove the pins (2 supplies)
- Nice smooth 80mm entrance hole, no issues with scaring away Ferrets
- The trap is supplied mounted on a wooden base, ready to be deployed
- Weighs a total of 3.7 kg, significantly lighter than conventional wooden or plastic trap boxes.
- Dimensions: 560 mm long, 290 mm wide, and 260 mm high, with a "neck" measuring 200 mm long to exclude non-target species. Opening is 80mm as per DOC best practice
