Philproof® Mini Baffle

This baffle was specifically designed by industry experts to prevent possums accessing the bait while attempting a rodent only pulse. If the baffle was too high, rats can't get in. If it is too low, possums can still access bait. This product has been field tested and proven to be the optimal dimensions.

This baffle is an effective tool to help you be more specific with your baiting operations and can save a group considerable amounts of money when compared to the amount of bait lost each night to possums. 1Kg of pellet bait can cost around $10, and possums can eat most of this in one night and not consume a lethal dose. Rodents are often the biggest threat to native birds in your area so controlling them first allows for efficient control of possums afterwards.

The baffle can be retrofitted to the bottom of your existing mini Philproof® bait station floor using self-tapping screws, nuts and bolts or pop rivets. The floor can still be easily removed while refilling the bait. Once the baffle is attached, the floor becomes reversible, meaning it can be rotated before each bait pulse to target rodents only, or possums and rodents.

The baffle has the added benefit of preventing bait spillage, though block bait can be used where this is an issue too.
